Broken 2 B Healed: The Testimony

Book Description

Telling your life testimonial is never easy especially when it involves so much tragedy, pain, struggle, being tormented by demons as a child and hardship. I guess the only way to break the barrier is to start from the beginning as, far back as I could possibly remember even if it is in bits and pieces. Most my life consisted of nothing but struggling, survival, multiple rapes, pain and abuse from childhood to adulthood, physical, mental and emotional abuse. A lot of what happened to me has never ever been told to anyone not even to my own children. This book will give you chills! But GOD!!!! Being raised in several different homes as a young child due to my father being in the military before finally getting settled with my father by the age of 5 yrs old and by then being raised by a step-mother who I thought at that time was mean and cruel but today I love her and realize why she did the things she did to me which at that time I felt like Cinderella, then I ran away from home at age 14 and then I went right into a 16 year abusive sham marriage .....this is where it began, but where I ended up and how God delivered is the testimony. This is a book that you will not want to put down from beginning to end. My prayer is that through my brokenness and my deliverance that whoever reads this book will be healed and delivered.

Setting Broken Bones

Book Description

"After a childhood marked by abuse and dysfunction, Penny Maxwell knows how challenging the journey to healing can be. Healing hurts, and Maxwell knows how enticing it is to walk with wounds and dysfunction rather than endure the pain it takes to truly be free. In Setting Broken Bones, Maxwell shares hard truths she learned through her own healing journey and challenges readers to trust God with their hurts. Using the analogy of a person walking around with broken physical bones that never healed properly, Maxwell confronts readers with the truth: we can either walk around in pain with bones that were never healed or experience temporary pain to have them set properly so healing can occur. Sharing from her personal story, Maxwell provides: Powerful teachings from God’s Word ; Practical ways to walk free from a painful past no matter what your personal struggles have been ; Guidance to face the pain you’ve been hiding to experience healing and freedom. Sometimes Christians wrap bandages around their pain with more church, more good works, more Bible reading plans, and other seemingly spiritual activities to distract themselves from the pain. This book will help you face the pain you have been hiding from so it can be healed once and for all. Whether you have come from a painful past yourself, have a loved one who is still trapped in that pain, or desire to minister to people who are on the path to healing from pain, this book will reveal God’s heart toward that pain, and show you how He will heal it when you surrender it to Him." -- Amazon.com.

Still Waiting

Book Description

What if God wants you to wait? Most of us know what it’s like to wait for God to change our circumstances. But, whether we’re waiting for physical healing, emotional breakthrough, or better relationships, waiting is something we usually try to avoid. Why? Because waiting is painful and hard. The truth is, it’s also inevitable. In Still Waiting, Ann Swindell explores the depths of why God wants us to wait by chronicling her own compelling story of waiting for healing from an incurable condition. She offers a vibrant retelling of the biblical account of the Bleeding Woman that parallels her story—and yours, too. Let Ann help you see the promise that is hidden in the ache of waiting and the hope of what God can—and will—do as you wait on him.

Unsinkable Faith

Book Description

For many people, remaining optimistic and feeling positive about themselves and their lives is a constant battle—especially when circumstances are difficult and life is hard. For others, negativity is something that only sneaks up from time to time, yet still wreaks havoc in their hearts. Regardless of the root causes, once pessimistic thoughts permeate our minds, our feelings and emotions begin to control us instead of us controlling them. Eventually it doesn’t seem possible to stay positive, happy, and full of joy, and negative thought patterns shake our faith, causing us to sink emotionally, mentally, and spiritually over time. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Despite what storms roll in, hearts anchored in God don’t sink. When we change the way we think, we can change the way we feel and live, even if our circumstances remain the same. Intentionally embracing the opportunity to experience a transformed heart and a renewed mind opens the door for a changed life, because a positive mind will always lead to a more positive life. In Unsinkable Faith, author and Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker Tracie Miles offers hope for women who struggle with negativity. Each chapter explores Tracie’s and other women’s personal stories, showing how they rose above their circumstances by transforming and renewing their minds. Unsinkable Faith is a breath of fresh air for anyone longing for a heart full of joy, an unbreakable smile, and a new, more optimistic perspective on life. This book will equip you to: Replace pessimism with positive thinking by becoming the captain of your thoughts; Learn how true joy and happiness are based on choice, not circumstances; Overcome unhealthy habits of negative thinking by intentionally implementing three easy mind-renewing steps; Stop feeling hopeless and pitiful, and start feeling hope-filled and powerful instead; and Discover that when you change the way you think, you change the way feel, and in turn you can change your life completely.
