Ein Katalog der Munzen der Sammlung von Josef Vital Kopp, jetzt im Besitz der Universitat Freiburg. Der Denker und Dichter, Priester und Schriftsteller, Kollegiums-Professor und Rektor Josef Vital Kopp wurde am 1. November 1906 im schweizerischen Beromunster (Kanton Luzern) geboren und schloss 1938 in Freiburg mit der Dissertation Das physikalische Weltbild der fruhen griechischen Dichtung seine akademische Ausbildung ab. Das weitere Leben von J.V. Kopp ist gepragt von seiner Tatigkeit als Griechisch- und Lateinlehrer an der Kantonsschule in Luzern (19451962) und als Schriftsteller. Kopp starb 1966 in Luzern und hinterliea eine umfangreiche Munzsammlung, die hier erstmals wissenschaftlich katalogisiert wurde.
