The earliest recorded member of this family, Rowland Robinson (1654- 1716), was born at Long Bluff, Cumberland, England and died at Point Judeth, Pettaquamscutt River, Rhode Island. He was married at Rhode Island in 1676 to Mary Allen (1656-1706?). She was born at Barnstable, England and died at Kingston, Rhode Island?. She was the daughter of John Allen and Mary Bacon. Correspondence covers business and family matters throughout the Revolutionary War era and continued on to 1838. Most of these letters dealt with events taking place in or around Newport, R.I.




Early Descendants of Henry Cobb of Barnstable, Massachusetts


Book Description

Henry Cobb was born in about 1605-1610 and probably lived in Kent, England. He married Patience Hurst, daughter of James Hurst, in about 1631. They had seven children. He married Sarah Hinckley in 1649 in Barnstable, Massachusetts. They had eight children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
