The decision will be as much of a surprise to Chicago League members as it will be to the members generally. Even the La Salle Hotel was ignorant of the fact that the Committee was meeting in Chicago and that Chicago was being considered, until the Committee had substantially agreed that Chicago was the proper place this year.
