Welcome to My Mind: the Jay Allen Collection

Book Description

This book contains the thoughts, memories, dreams, hopes, and desires that have been dwelling within my psyche for the greater portion of my life. With works spanning the last two decades, the myriad of emotions, through which you will be taken, will surely give rise to something inside each of you. Whether you are the hopeless romantic whose heart weeps daily for that which you may never have, or if you are the jaded and jilted lover whose heart has been shattered into countless pieces, or even if you are just the broken down pile of flesh and bones we all succumb to being eventually, you will relate to something inside. Each of these very words has been torn from my battered and beaten soul with one purpose, and that is to enlighten the world with an experienced perspective. If but one of my words can inspire change in a lone individual then I know my life has meaning.

The Light of Discovery

Book Description

To read this book is to encounter the essence of our lives and our everyday concerns. Toni Packer shines her gentle light on fear, compassion, impermanence, attraction, prejudice, enlightenment, and much more as she invites us into our own light of discovery. As she says, "In truth we are not separate from each other, or from the world, from the whole earth, the sun or moon or billions of stars, not separate from the entire universe. Listening silently in silent wonderment, without knowing anything, there is just one mysteriously palpitating aliveness."

There Was A Little Girl In The Corner

Book Description

About the Author My name is Mrs. Linda D. Carter. Currently, I live in Chester, VA with my husband of forty four years, Apostle W. D. Carter, III. I began writing at the age of thirteen, and before long I developed a love for it. At this time I am working for a local hospital as a unit secretary. I also enjoy writing and composing songs, and have recorded some of them. I enjoy singing to our patients and my co-workers. I have had eight nervous breakdowns, and have miraculously survived them all. I have written this book in order to share my experiences with others who are also suffering from mental illness in order to show them that there is a way out. And the way out is through Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.
