Contains three books in one volume. The first book covers some of the descendants of James Cowherd/Coward who was born before 1660 in England and immigrated to Virginia some time before 1688. He married Mary Alloway in 1687/88 in Virginia. He died before 1717 in Virginia. Localities where descendants lived include Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. The second book covers some of the descendants of James Coward who was born ca. 1750 and died 1814/15 in Rutherford County, North Carolina. His wife's maiden name was Weaver. Localities include North Carolina, Texas, and Georgia. The third book covers some ancestors and descendants of John Cowart (1756-1821) who was born in New Jersey and died in Georgia. He married Michael Williams (b. 1758) . Descendants lived in Georgia, Alabama, Texas and Florida. .
