Crush School

Book Description

DON'T READ THIS BOOK. USE IT.There are many zombies walking around your school. They sleepwalk through their classes hoping the information will magically seep into their brain. Then they complain when it doesn't. You see, these zombie students don't know what you are about to find out. It's that YOU CAN LEARN ANYTHING NO MATTER WHERE YOU START.But... You need to know how to learn. This book will show you how. "Crush School" is unique. It is not one of those stiff books that make you want to throw up after you read the first sentence. It's actually written in a conversational format. It feels like the author is talking to you when you read it. It uses stories and examples of classroom situations students often find themselves in. The book explains them from both the student and teacher points of view. The learning strategies that help you crush school are straightforward but not "dumbed-down". Each chapter is short and straight to the point. The book is unlike anything out there. Seriously, the author googled it! While "Crush School" can be used by teachers, it was written for students specifically. It contains teen life, school jokes and humor, but most importantly the strategies to use at school and home to become an awesome student."Crush School" is not a book. Well, it is... And it isn't... It's more of a GUIDE TO LEARNING ANY SUBJECT. The book is not designed to be read from beginning to end. You can, and it will be helpful, but it's better used by skipping around to the strategies you can use right away. You don't have to suffer through 200 pages of Blah before you get to the useful stuff, because this book is full of it."Crush School" talks about how your brain learns best and gives you the strategies to do it. You know how some teachers tell you to do something or study something, but never explain why you need to know this stuff? Some even get all mad when you ask why. The author of "Crush School" doesn't stop at telling you WHAT TO DO. He explains WHY IT WORKS."Crush School" is a game changer for students. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

How to Crush Law School

Book Description

How to Crush Law School(c) is the book I wish I could have read the summer before my 1L year. Great law students do not necessarily work harder than their colleagues. Instead, they typically have an informational advantage to combine with their excellent work ethic. In other words, they are privy to useful bits of wisdom that give them a slight edge over their competition. Unfortunately, only a fraction of law students learn the secrets to success in law school, and thus most law students are at a tremendous disadvantage. How to does one obtain information other law students don't have? How does one gain an edge? How to Crush Law School solves the enigma; it clears up the ambiguities. In this concise book, the author explicitly reveals the secrets to success in law school and shares his most valuable bits of law school wisdom. This step-by-step guide to crushing law school reveals the following: How to prioritize law school tasks and manage time to achieve optimal efficiency; How to manage your mind and utilize neuroscience to perform at your best; How to leverage focus, willpower, habit, motivation, momentum, and positivity to gain an edge; How to approach the various types of law school exam questions, including issue-spotters, traditional essays, and multiple-choice questions; and How to write a perfect answer on a law school exam. ABOUT THE AUTHOR I don't like to brag about myself in the third person, so my "about the author" may be a bit unusual. Here goes. I graduated from the University of South Carolina, School of Law in 2016, where I served as a research editor for the South Carolina Law Review. While in school, I had the honor of working as a tutor of legal research and writing. I accumulated a lot of law school accolades, including CALI awards in legal writing, advanced legal writing, income tax, and criminal procedure. During law school, I received a joint master's degree from the Vermont Law School in environmental law and police. Thereafter, I clerked for Judge Joseph F. Anderson, Jr. in the United States District Court, and then I clerked for Judge David R. Duncan at the United States Bankruptcy Court. After law school, I went back to business school and received an MBA from the University of South Carolina, where I focused on marketing, new venture analysis, and intellectual property strategy. While completing my MBA, I worked as a research editor for one of my favorite professors in law school. If you read all of that, thank you for your interest. I'm flattered, and I hope you enjoy the book and crush law school.

From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess

Book Description

Return to the world of Meg Cabot's bestselling and beloved Princess Diaries series in From the Notebooks of a Middle School Princess—this time through the illustrated diary of a spunky new heroine: Princess Mia's long lost half-sister, Olivia! Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison is a completely average twelve-year-old: average height, average weight, average brown hair of average length, average brown skin and average hazel eyes. The only things about her that aren't average are her name (too long and princess themed), her ability to draw animals (useful for her future career as a wildlife illustrator), and the fact that she is a half-orphan who has never met her father and is forced to live with her aunt and uncle (who treat her almost like their own kids, so she doesn't want to complain). Then one completely average day, everything goes wrong: the most popular girl in school, Annabelle Jenkins, threatens to beat her up, the principal gives her a demerit, and she's knocked down at the bus stop . . . Until a limo containing Princess Mia Thermopolis of Genovia pulls up to invite her to New York to finally meet her father, who promptly invites her to come live with him, Mia, Grandmère and her two fabulous poodles . . . . Maybe Olivia Grace Clarisse Mignonette Harrison isn't so average after all!
