Changes in outdoor recreation preferences and behavior that may accompany projected increases in aging, racial and ethnic diversity, and urban residence have important implications for recreation resource planners and managers. This report presents study findings on demographic trends in outdoor recreation and discusses the implications of those trends for the future.
