The purpose of the symposium, which was the basis of these proceedings, was to discuss the technical and institutional aspects of water quality monitoring. This was accomplished by addressing four major components : 1. Surface water; 2. Soil water; 3. Ground water; and 4. Waste water and pollutant sources.
