At the midway point towards the United Nations (UN) Agenda 2030, this critical volume focuses on how a range of contextually diverse countries are progressing towards inclusive education. Contributors critically consider the current state of inclusive education in their own countries in relation to meeting the UN’s Agenda 2030 initiative and Sustainable Development Goal 4. The foundation is set in chapter one by the editors, with a historical overview of inclusion and inclusive policies globally. Key international scholars critique the history and status of inclusion in their respective contexts. In reference to local research, they explore the history of inclusion, the current policies and state of inclusion, barriers and levers for inclusion, and look towards the future of inclusive education. Chapters demonstrate how the continued call for a shift towards inclusive education in different countries is extremely complex and varies greatly within each international context. Honorable Mention, Best Book in Latin American Visual Culture Studies, Latin American Studies Association–Visual Culture Studies Section, 2023 Extractivism has increasingly become the ground on which activists and scholars in Latin America frame the dynamics of ecological devastation, accumulation of wealth, and erosion of rights. These maladies are the direct consequences of long-standing extraction-oriented economies, and more recently from the expansion of the extractive frontier and the implementation of new technologies in the extraction of fossil fuels, mining, and agriculture. But the fields of sociology, political ecology, anthropology, and geography have largely ignored the role of art and cultural practices in studies of extractivism and post-extractivism. The field of art theory, on the other hand, has offered a number of texts that put forward insightful analyses of artwork addressing extraction, environmental devastation, and the climate crisis. However, an art theory perspective that does not engage firsthand and in depth with collective action remains limited and fails to provide an account of the role, processes, and politics of art in anti- and post-extractivist movements. Creating Worlds Otherwise examines the narratives that subaltern groups generate around extractivism, and how they develop, communicate, and mobilize these narratives through art and cultural practices. It reports on a six-year project on creative resistance to extractivism in Argentina and builds on long-term engagement working on environmental justice projects and campaigns in Argentina and the UK. It is an innovative contribution to the fields of Latin American studies, political ecology, cultural studies, and art theory, and addresses pressing questions regarding what post-extractivist worlds might look like as well as how such visions are put into practice.

El marketing está presente en la cotidianeidad del ser humano, inmerso en la vida habitual del individuo al navegar en redes sociales, en las calles, mientras se traslada a su centro de trabajo, en los alimentos que consume y en los lugares que visita. En este sentido, las organizaciones advierten los cambios que presenta el entorno para dar una respuesta mediante la generación de satisfactores acordes a las necesidades y deseos que demandan los mercados de consumo. De esta forma las prácticas contemporáneas de marketing, los mercados de consumo y las propuestas de valor contribuyen al desarrollo de la economía de las empresas, por esto se vuelve relevante analizarlas desde distintas perspectivas. Las prácticas del marketing expuestas en esta obra abordan temáticas diversas que van desde el análisis del marketing de nostalgia, en postres tradicionales en el ámbito local, hasta la identificación de factores en el comercio transfronterizo de alimentos de la región, pasando por estudios de localización de restaurantes, la caracterización de influencers gastronómicos en Sonora y el uso del merchandising en productos con sellos de advertencia. En la presente publicación se abordan diferentes escenarios del consumidor desde la óptica del marketing, en los cuales se observan diversas estrategias que en el transcurrir del tiempo han evolucionado y se han fusionado con enfoques éticos y de sustentabilidad.
