Jacob Bowman Sr. married (1) Anne ____?; (2) Freni/Vreni/Fronica ____?; (3) Catherine Wine Steel, born ca. 1730, the daughter of John George Wine & Margaretha Horn & widow of Christopher Steel. Catherine later married Christian Fry. Jacob & Ann or Anna arrived from Germany on the "Mortonhouse" Aug. 17, 1729. Jacob lived in Adams Co., Pa. until 1762 when he moved to Frederick Co., Md. He then moved to a section of Augusta Co., Va. (later known as Rockingham Co.) & owned a lot of land near Greenmount or Edom, Virginia. Jacob died ca. 1903.

Adam Miller was born in 1703 in Labensheim, Germany. His parents were Johann Peter Mueller and Maria Margaretha Ulrich. He emigrated in 1724 and settled in Massanutten, Page County, Virginia. He married Anna Barbara Koger (1716-1794), daughter of Josias Koger and Ann Lowen. They had four children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Virginia, Missouri, Iowa and Louisiana.
