Students explore the exciting and intriguing world of electricity. Divided into two main sections, the first section is everything you wanted to know about electricity but were afraid to ask. This knowledge-based presentation of information includes student notes suitable for hand-outs or on a projection system. Ten exciting activities and assignments accompany these notes. The second section is a class project entitled “Sunshine City Needs Electricity”. This role-play activity, in which students pose as concerned citizens, and discuss what kind of electrical generating station to build for the make-believe community. This Physical Science lesson provides a teacher and student section with a variety of reading passages, activities, crossword, word search and answer key to create a well-rounded lesson plan.
