Buku ini disusun berdasarkan silabus terbaru 2013, yaitu Silabus Satuan Pendidikan 2017 kelas VII yang memuat 8 Kompetensi Dasar (KD) dalam dua semester. Setiap bab yang disajikan dalam buku ini memuat satu KD yang ingin dicapai. Keterampilan yang dikembangkan dalam buku ini juga terdiri dari Listening yang termuat dalam lagu yang bisa diunduh (dengan alamat terlampir), Speaking yang termuat dalam perkenalan, mem­per­ke­nalkan diri, meminta maaf, people description, animal description, dan lain-lain. Sementara untuk Rea­ding tersaji dengan sangat beragam, topik sesuai tema mulai dari people description, animals dan pu­blic building. Dari sini, siswa bisa mènjelajah banyak sekali kosakata dan keterampilan membaca, baik mem­baca nyaring maupun reading comprehension. Semua teks disajikan dalam bentuk teks deskriptif. Ke­te­ram­pilan lain yang tidak lepas dari muatan buku ini adalah keterampilan Writing dimana siswa juga di ajar­kan menuliskan hal-hal sederhana yang mereka ketahui dengan baik, misalnya mendeskripsikan, he­wan, orang yang dikenal baik, dan tempat tinggal baik sekolah maupun rumah tinggal. Seiring dengan perkembangan dunia pendidikan yang mengacu pada penggunaan teknologi, maka buku ini juga me­nya­ji­kan konsep blended learning, dimana siswa dapat mengakses beberapa bahan ajar dan kegiatan dengan mengklik beberapa yang telah disediakan.

The rapid advancement of technology has created new civilization in this digital era which affects almost all aspects of life including language, literature, culture, and education.
