William Wartenbe (1760/1764-1821) and Catherine White (b. 1761) married before 1778 and settled in New Jersey. Later they went to Virginia and Ohio. William was possibly a son of William Wartnaby (1667- 1733), an immigrant from England to Philadelphia, but no definite proof has been located as yet. Descendants and relatives lived in New Jersey, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and elsewhere. These descendants and relatives are arranged in the text in alphabetical order by surname (and chronologically under each surname).
