James Everett Cureton, Sr. was born in about 1739 in Edgecomb County, North Carolina. His parents were Thomas Cureton and Susannah Jones. He married Elizabeth Heath, daughter of John Heath, near Petersburg, Virginia. They had seven children. He died in about 1800 in Waxhaw, Lancaster County, South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas.

Book Description

James Stewart/Steward was living in Plymouth in 1621. Walter Stewart, (ca. 1758-1825), with his wife, Mary Ross and one son immigrated from Belfast, Ireland to Charleston, South Carolina about 1788. Another son was born aboard the ship. Descendants and relatives have scattered throughout the United States.
