Book Description
Excerpt from Fifth Annual Report of the Public Service Commission, Second District, Vol. 1: For the Year Ended December 31, 1911 The Red Hook Light and Power Company was ordered to show cause before the Commission on April loth why it should not at once renew the street lighting service in the village of Red Hook. The village trustees complained that the company, because of disputed and unpaid bills, arbitrarily had discontinued the lights, thereby creating a dangerous condition. The hearing brought the contending parties together, resulting in an amicable adjustment without the necessity of an order, the street lights being renewed.
