This three-volume publication is the final report of the White House Conference on Aging, held in Washington on November 30-December 3, 1981, to examine the challenges and opportunities of an aging society. Volume 1 contains a statement of a national U.S. policy on aging, together with recommendations for implementing that policy. Volume 2 traces the history of the conference and includes the texts of the major addresses presented as well as summary reports of the conference committees. Volume 3 contains results of a post-conference survey of delegates and also includes the committee recommendations.
