Excerpt from Foreign Crops and Markets, Vol. 29: November 12, 1934 Prices of wheat and flour on the Shanghai market were somewhat lower during the week ended November 8, according to a radiogram from the Shanghai office of the Foreign Agricultural Service. One cargo of Australian wheat recently sold for 73 cents per bushel. Shanghai mills continued to Operate at almost full capacity and were becoming more interested in foreign wheat though unwilling to buy at current quotations. Arrivals of native wheat were fairly large during the week, and about tons of foreign wheat were booked to arrive, all from Argentina except one cargo from Australia.
