James Foster was born 16 July 1851 in Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, England. His parents were Thomas Foster and Sarah Steed. He married Kate Susan Daley 16 August 1875 in Grantchester. They had six children. James emigrated in about 1887 and had three children by Rose Brook. Kate and her children emigrated in about 1894 and she had two more children. James died in 1909. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived throughout England, the United States and Canada.
