Geology and Mineral Resources of the Babine Mountains Recreation Area

Book Description

The Babine Mountains Recreation Area in west central British Columbia is a candidate for Class A park status. This report provides the results of a mineral resource potential study. The field based component of the study was carried out by a helicopter-supported two-person crew during late July and early August 1991. Office-based research and compilation continued into spring 1992. The report covers the geology of the area, past and present exploration and mining, mineral deposit types, the potential for undiscovered mineral resources, and a description of the Big Onion deposit.
