God's Jewelry Box

Book Description

God must love jewels. After all, He created them. Heaven is God's jewelry box containing endless supplies of all gems and treasures found on earth and even more yet to be discovered. There are hundreds of verses in the Bible dealing with over 50 jewels and precious stones. The KJV Bible has an amazing 1,704 references to gemstones and minerals. Seventy-two verses are about treasures, and twenty-four verses speak directly about jewelry. God refers to His people as jewels in a crown that sparkles. The G.A.L.S. began thinking about the connections between their jewelry and God's Word. Stories with spiritual applications flowed from their jewelry boxes as they dug through their trinkets. Wanting to inspire others to look through their jewelry boxes and find spiritual connections, they created a separate journal called WHAT'S IN YOUR JEWELRY BOX? which is destined to be a legacy gift for your future generations. More heavenly nuggets were found as the G.A.L.S. dug even deeper into God's word. They discovered the study of the jewels and treasures is and fascinating and important to end times. For a more in depth look of the gems of heaven, they created a Bible study entitled JEWELRY GEMS, which comes with a leader's guide. Read, study, and reflect about the jewels of heaven and you will stand in awe of our creator and the way He plans and orders every detail of life and eternity.

Pale Gods

Book Description

With all the continents overrun by the living dead, the hubs of commerce and civilization are no longer New York or London or Beijing: they’re Nantucket, Havana, and Reykjavik. The sea is not the deadly, foreboding barrier it once was to human life: now it’s their source of safety, transportation, and sustenance. But the mainland beckons reckless, restless men, just as the sea did hundreds of years before, luring them with the promise of riches and danger. Sailing from Nantucket, the Hyperion takes six foragers on such a quest: Jacob, the scarred captain who lost half his right hand to the dead; Ridley, a young man full of curiosity and naiveté; King, a devout Christian who tries to keep the captain’s madness in check; Sink, who seems to thrive on the casual brutality of their trade; Phil, for whom this is just the best job to support his family in this strange, violent world; and Spider, a boy raised in the post-apocalyptic world, barely aware any other kind of life ever existed. Their journey takes them back to the land from which they’ve been banished, to steal back from the hungry dead all the things people once took for granted, the remnants of human art and ingenuity, before these are completely lost in the decaying ruins. But this time, they will find not just fuel and tools and weapons, but cities full of dead who are smarter, better prepared, and with their own mysterious agenda.

Gods & Lies: A Novel

Book Description

A priestess of justice and a disgraced demigod investigate a grisly murder that threatens the throw the uneasy balance between gods and mortals into chaos. Gods make everything complicated. No one knows that better than Justix Iris Tharro, a human agent of the Goddess of Justice, still reeling from a scandal that almost ended her career. Grateful for a second chance, Iris’ mandate is clear: investigate crimes, mete out justice...and never again insert herself in the business of the Pantheon. But when the dead body of a young woman is found on the altar in the wind god’s temple, iris quickly realizes her task might not be that simple. Because while murder is usually a human crime, this one is rife with magic only a God would be capable of. To accuse a God of murdering a human acolyte would do more than ruin Iris’ reputation (again); it could put her life at risk. That’s why she needs a partner who knows the good, the bad, and the ugly consequences of dealing with the Gods. Enter Andy: a handsome demigod with a silver tongue, desperately trying to win back the favor of his sea goddess mother. It’s a challenging partnership, but there’s no one better to guide iris through black markets teeming with illegal relics, nightclubs full of nymphs, and the nefarious politics of the Pantheon . . . especially when it becomes clean that more than one immortal may have something to hide. In a world where ancient grudges and human desires live side by side and the old ways die hard, Iris and Andy are confronted with an impossible choice: whether solving one human’s murder is worth the wrath of all the Gods. This fun, fast-paced fantasy noir novel by Elizabeth Vail is perfect for fans of American Gods and The Maltese Falcon, and was originally published on Serial Box (serialbox.com).
