James Joseph Hurlbert, born 8 Oct 1816. Francis (Frank) Telesford Hurlbert was born 5 January 1846 in Florida. He died 30 September 1923. On 18 July 1866 Francis married Margaret Amanda Wingate, daughter of Owen and Jane O'Neil Wingate and they resided in Duval County, Florida near Jacksonville. On 22 October 1890 Francis married Deborah EuBank, daughter of William Nathaniel and Eliza Laura Walker EuBank. She was born 9 February 1866 and died in about 1955. Ancestor Thomas Hulbert (b.1610) emigrated about 1635 from England to Saubrook, Connecticut. Descendants (chiefly spelling the surname Hurlbert, with some spellings of Hurlbut) and relatives lived in New England, Florida, Alabama, Texas, New Mexico and elsewhere. While living in Florida, the Hurlbert family intermarried with Minorcan families who had immigrated there. Includes some ancestry in England to 1305.
