This booklet is intended for free distribution upon request to the consumers of Colorado River water in San Diego County in the hope that it will serve to answer some of their questions about this new water supply. Readers should not expect to find here complete and definite answers to all questions concerning water quality and use. The material presented here has been compiled after considerable study by the engineering staffs of the several cities and districts comprising the San Diego County Water Authority. Information has been freely drawn from the resesarch projects of the leading authorities: The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California ; the Regional Salinity Laboratory, U. S. Department of Agriculture ; and the Citrus Experiment Station, University of California.
