Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Site Investigation Report for IRP Site No. 1 and Area of Concern (AOC) Number 1. Volume 2. Appendices A Through G. 261st Combat Communications Squadron California Air National Guard Sepulveda Air National Guard Station Van Nuys, California

Book Description

This Volume I us a Site Investigation Report for IRP Site No. 1 and AOC No. 1, California Air National Guard, California Air National Guard, 261st CCS, Sepulveda Air National Guard Station, Van Nuys, CA. This is the first volume of a two volume site investigation report. The sites were investigated under the Installation Restoration Program. Soil samples were collected and analyzed. An Engineering Evaluation/Cost Analysis was recommended to fully delineate the extent of contamination and condut remediation activities, if required. Volume II contains the analytical data, boring logs, and QA/QC logs. Soil samples were collected for analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs), priority pollutant metals, pesticides and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and sulfate to determine background levels. Soil vapor samples were collected for determining the optimum number and location of soil sampling borings needed to confirm the absence or presence of soil contamination.

Installation Restoration Program. Preliminary Assessment: 261st Combat Communications Squadron, Sepulveda Air National Guard Station, California Air National Guard, Sepulveda, California

Book Description

Science & Technology, Inc. (SciTek) was retained to conduct the Installation Restoration Program (IRP) Preliminary Assessment (PA) of the 261st Combat Communications Squadron (CCSQ), Sepulveda Air National Guard Station (hereinafter referred to as the Station) located at Van Nuys, California. Operations that have involved the use of hazardous materials and the disposal of hazardous wastes include vehicle maintenance and maintenance of aerospace ground equipment (AGE). The hazardous wastes disposed of through these operations include varying quantities of fuels, acids, paints, thinners, strippers, solvents, and oils. The field surveys and interviews resulted in one site being identified that exhibits the potential for contaminant presence and migration.

Installation Restoration Program. Site Investigation Report, IRP Sites No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3. 106th Civil Engineering Flight, New York Air National Guard, Roslyn Air National Guard Station, Roslyn, New York

Book Description

This report presents the results of the Site Investigation (SI) conducted at IRP Sites No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 at the 106th Civil Engineering Flight (CEF) located at Roslyn Air National Guard Station (ANGS), Roslyn, long Island, New York. A Preliminary Assessment (PA) of the 106th CEF was published by Science and Technology, Inc., in February 1991. The PA resulted in the identification of two potentially contaminated waste holding areas and a waste sludge application site. These sites were identified as IRP Site No. 1 (Access Road to Aerospace Ground Equipment 'AGE' Shop), IRP Site No. 2 (Old Waste Holding Area No. 1), and IRP Site No. 3 (Old Waste Holding Area No. 2) and recommended for further investigation under the Installation Restoration Program (IRP).
