Lynch of London had pub lished a volume of sacred poetry, called The Rivulet, which, together with a favourable notice of it in The Eclectic Review, elicited from Mr. James Grant, the editor of The Morning Adver tiser, several articles in that journal, that were subsequently re-published as a pamphlet with the writer's name. Of the volume itself it is unnecessary, and it might be improper, for me to say more here, than that in the opinion of the best judges it contains much beautiful poetry, and expresses many of the best and deepest feel ings common to spiritual men.
