His direct disciples are approximated to be more than nine hundred thousand, with seven thousand earning the status of a khalifa.Maktubat (letters) of Imam Muhammad Masoom Faruqi are considered a source of great spiritual knowledge and an exegesis of his father's letters. Compiled in three volumes originally in Persian, this book contains excerpts from over fifty letters translated into English by various authors. Translations have been edited to use the standard transliterations of the terms. Original terminology has been preserved and a glossary of terms is also provided. A short biography of the Imam is also included.
