William Harrison Ainsworth Letters

Book Description

He writes to Dear Sir, 6 February 1863, referring him to the Chatham Library for a copy of Nathaniel Hodges's book on the London plague of 1665; and to his friend James Crossley, 13 February 1868, noting that he has just finished writing his novel Myddleton Pomfret and is at a loss for a good subject for his next book and asks for suggestions [for what would become Constable de Bourbon].
