Book Description

Joseph Southwick (1809-1849) was a descendant of William and Mary Butler Southwick. His first wife, Mary Ann Martin died in 1846. In 1849, with their four children, his second wife, Mary Walters and her son, George, he immigrated from England, to New Orleans, to Kanesville, Iowa (now Council Bluffs) and then to Salt Lake Valley where he died. Descendants and relatives lived in Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Nevada, Montana, Arizona, Wyoming, Missouri, Michigan, California, Washington and elsewhere.
