The number of titles has been materially increased to include the suggestions of many high-school teachers, specialists in the Bureau of Education, high-school librarians, public librarians, and commission workers. The suggestions and demands of teachers of special departments for comprehensive lists on particular subjects have been somewhat insistent, and the result is that some divisions, notably agriculture, are out of proportion to the rest of the list.
