This book is the work of six years. The gap between literature and language is to some extent removed. Each of the two will serve each other. The book's value lies in its focus on literary stylistics. Katie is right when she says "most stylistics is not simply to describe the formal features of texts for their own sake, but in order to show their functional significance for the interpretation of the text; or in order to relate literary effects to linguistic 'causes' where these are felt to be relevant." In recent years a special focus has been on learning English as a second language and pedagogy of English Language in EFL/ESL classrooms. To learn any language easily, it is usually through its literature and culture. So, English Language is not an exception. There is a tendency by stylisticians of literature to analyse and explain the part of the writer and the style of the manuscript in its literariness like editing the manuscript.
