With a Little Prayer is a little prayer book, meant for reading over and over again. The sing-songy rhymes are memorable for children of all ages. The messages delivered are timeless. I encourage parents to read to their children early, even in utero! Children will get to know the saints, begin to pray for their assistance, and with God's Grace strive to be like the saints and be one themselves one day. My four-year-old daughter, after I read With a Little Prayer to her a number of times, said, "Mommy, when I grow up, I want to be a church saint." Isn't that the point? Isn't that what we want for our children? To go to heaven? Yes! We are all called to be saints. We are all called to live with God in heaven for eternity. There's a saint for everyone. The saints have led very different lives, in different parts of the world, fulfilling God's plan, each in their own unique way. I challenge you to find a saint that resonates with you. Ask God for help in finding your saint. Perhaps that saint will find you first! The saints are here for us. They help us, care about us, and guide us to Jesus, the source of our salvation. I hope to teach our children that we can invite the saints into our lives, confident they hear our prayers. God bless.
