Medical and Surgical Reports of the Boston City Hospital

Book Description

Excerpt from Medical and Surgical Reports of the Boston City Hospital, Vol. 6 The Sixth Series of the Medical and Surgical Reports of the Boston City Hospital follows the Fifth Series at the interval of a year, and it is hoped that the publication may in future be an annual. The last series marked the completion of the thirtieth year of the Hospital. The last year has shown the usual steady growth of the Hospital in size and efficiency, and beyond that there have been few changes. Another year it is probable that the editors may be able to announce the completion of several new and important buildings now in process of construction, and to publish some account of their internal arrangements. Future series should contain valuable additions to the scientific knowledge of some of the infectious diseases. The editors are glad to be able to present in this series a report from a Committee of the Visiting Staff, upon "Infectious Diseases, and the Management of Hospitals devoted to Infectious Diseases." Since the publication of the last volume, the Visiting Staff has lost by resignation the much-valued association of Doctor E. H. Bradford.
