Excerpt from Memorial Addresses on the Life and Character of Benjamin Harvey Hill (a Senator From Georgia): Delivered in the Senate and House of Representatives, Forty-Seventh Congress, Second Session, January 25, 1883 He it resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That there be printed twelve thousand copies of the eulogies delivered in Congress upon the late Benjamin H. Hill, a Seuator from the State of Georgia, of which four thousand shall be for the use of the Senate, and eight thousand for the use of the House of Representatives; and the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to have printed a portrait of said Benjamin H. Hill to accompany each copy of said eulogies; and for the purpose of defraying the expense of engraving and printing the said portrait, the sum of six hundrod dollars, or so much thereof a may be necessary, be, and the same is hereby, appropriated out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated.
