Book Description
Excerpt from Memorial Addresses on the Life and Character of Thomas H. Tongue (Late a Representative From Oregon): Delivered in the House of Representatives and Senate, Fifty-Seventh Congress, Second Session Mr. Moody of Oregon: Mr. Speaker, it becomes my painful duty to announce to the House of Representatives the calamity that has fallen upon our State by the sudden and untimely death of my distinguished colleague, Hon. Thomas H. Tongue, who has for the past six years represented his State and district in this body with honor and distinction. At a suitable time I shall ask that a day be set apart for paying tribute to his character and distinguished public services. I now ask for the immediate consideration of the resolutions which I send to the desk. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
