The Directors, however, feel called upon, to state to the Synods, that, in a few instances, there seems to have been a great deficiency in the preliminary education of the students, and especially as regards the Greek language; and to suggest the propriety of submitting to the Presbyteries, the import ance of adopting some means of removing this evil.
