Five-year-old Oliver sets out on a journey to find his Grandpa, who recently died. As Oliver visits all the wonderful places that remind him of his Grandpa, he is faced with unfamiliar emotions and the unsettling reality that his Grandpa is nowhere to be found. He learns that talking about these emotions makes him feel better, and with his Mommy's love, understanding and support, he also finds what he has been searching for the entire time: his Grandpa.AUTHOR BIOGRAPHYKatherine MacDonald is familiar with the grip that grief can have on family members when a loved one dies. She is a certified end-of-life doula, as well as a grief facilitator for adults and children since 2002. She helps families within her community to understand death and the dying process and to cope with the grief process through workshops, community events, living legacy work, suicide prevention awareness sessions and children's grief programs. She is the co-owner of multiple funeral homes in Eastern Ontario, Canada. Katherine lives in Alexandria, a tiny town outside of Ottawa, with her husband, her three sons, and her two fun-loving dogs.Katherine dedicates this book to all the children who have been searching for their loved ones in this life and beyond, time and time again. She hopes that her experiences will bring them closer to the answers and the peace they are seeking.
