Book Description

Abstract: Sources of statistical health information are provided for consumers. Major areas of interest are identified and kinds of data now available or in preparation are described. For each topic, National Center for Health Statistics publications are cited first, followed by other DHHS sources, other Federal agencies, and by private organizations or associations. Most of the publications listed are available free of charge while supplies last. Topics include: accidents, adoptions, alcoholism, dental health, health planning, hypertension (high blood pressure), nutrition, obesity, poisoning, working mothers, and work during pregnancy. (rkm).
