This intimate, eminently practical memoir of a successful homeschooled family of six children illuminates today’s most exciting choice in education, and shows how it works from cradle to college. What is it that homeschoolers do that the public schools can’t or won’t? There are at least as many answers as there are studies. But nothing can capture the homeschooling experience in all its richness like the story of a real family that homeschools its children in middleclass America. Homeschooling: A Family’s Journey is the perfect book for those millions of Americans who may know someone who homeschools, who may have read about it, thought about it, and wondered whether homeschooling is right for them. Sharing the concerns of committed parents everywhere, authors Gregory and Martine Millman are consistently practical, informed, caring, and no-nonsense in their approach. They pay special attention to homeschooling and college, the economics of home-learning, and how a parent can really handle a child’s full education. Homeschooling opens a window on an exciting, important way of education—and, even more, a way of life—that can make all the difference in your family’s world.

In "Humbled by the Journey: Life Lessons For My Family...And Yours," Miguel "Mike" Benito Fernandez takes readers on parallel journeys: A 508-mile pilgrimage along El Camino de Santiago from France through Spain - and from a dirt road Cuban town to the pinnacles of U.S. business success. The book shines a light on the lessons Mike has learned over a lifetime of working tirelessly, overcoming obstacles and "showing up." The most important lesson: "You have to take care of those who come after you."

Bob Massey was born during the depression in Wichita, KS. The only job available to his father was as bouncer in a nightclub and his mother was fry cook. They lived in a small apartment in the back of the nightclub until Bob was 2 years old when they moved to a farm near Udall, KS. Two brothers were born during the years on the farm. In 1943, his parents divorced and his father was immediately drafted. Bob lived with grandparents in western KS during the war and because his father suffered shell-shock upon his return, the boys were sent to live with their mom and a very harsh stepfather who expected them to work many hours a day on their farm. Bob survived a near fatal accident at age twelve and upon recovery developed a devil-may-care attitude to cover his anger and hurt. Bob married his high school sweetheart and they had five children. His title shows where he lives, how he came to know the Lord, and how the death of his oldest son led the family to the cross and tells of ministry developed from that experience.

This is the true story of parents looking after a child with disabilities who often thought that they were on their own. It tells how they were let down by the very system that was there to help them and how they dealt with that over the years. The family have been through many other battles which have included Debt, Death of loved ones, Bullying and so much more. It speaks also of the faith they have had in God which has helped them to get through all these battles. The main reason for telling this story which at times has been hard to write is so that others who are facing similar problems might know they are not on their own. I hope they will both be encouraged and helped as they read Our Journey.
