The papers presented in this publication were delivered at the annual Census Tract Conference held in Chicago, Illinois, on December 29, 1958, in connection with the annual meeting of the American Statistical Association. Mr. Howard Whipple Green, Chairman, Committee on Census Enumeration Areas presided. These papers were prepared by users and producers of census tract statistics. They serve as guides to those who wish to learn more about how census tracts and their statistics may be used and what census tract information will become available from the 1960 Censuses of Population and Housing.
