This thesis studies worker participation, a basic component of industrial organization, in Chile between late 1970 and mid-1973. While the study does not analyze the overall behavior of the Chilean economy during these years, it does in some instances refer to it. The study compares previous hypotheses about worker participation with the real situation, through a cross-section analysis of the experiences undergone by Chile's leading industrial concerns in 1971 and 1972
