Excerpt from Pennsylvania Archives, Vol. 11 We the Judges of the General Election held in and for the County of Allegheny the thirteenth day of. Octob'r in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty nine do certify to his Excellency the President and the Hon ourable the Supreme Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that John Wilkins the younger was duly elected a member of the said Council having had one thousand and thirty eight votes. That James Morrison and Samuel Evatt were duly elected Shereffs. S'd James Morrison having had Seven hundred and fifty two votes and the said Samuel Evatt three hundred and seventy votes and that David Wat son and John mcdowel was duly elected Coroners S'd David Watson had five hundred and Eighty one votes and johnnmc Dowel two hundred and Eighty four votes.
