Book Description

A Phase i archaeological survey of the Waverley and Squire Tracts of the proposed Disney's America Development. The project area covered approximately 1,803 acres of which 372 acres were classified as having high archaeological potential for the location of prehistoric sites. A total of 37 archaeological sites was located. Twelve of these are historic sites, 22 are prehistoric sites, and 3 have both historic and prehistoric components.

Book Description

The James River Institute for Archaeology, Inc., conducted a Phase I cultural resources survey of the approximately 77-acre Smith-Carter tract in Prince William County, Virginia. The project was conducted on behalf of JCE, Inc. under Prince William County regulations associated with a rezoning application.

Book Description

One isolated and one archaeological location were identified by the Phase I survey. A twentieth-century house site was centrally located within the project area on aerial photographs of the property. The survey of the location revealed that the house had been demolished and removed.
