This book presents the subject of physical kinetics from an original and unique angle, by deriving the Boltzmann equation from atomic motion, making extensive use of Landau’s concept of elementary excitations. It includes external forces, besides statistical motion, in its treatment of the subject wherever relevant. It also details the kinetic theory of classical gas and its transport, devoting special attention to the classical plasma. In addition, the book emphasises the role played by the anharmonic interactions in the lifetime of phonons, and presents the basic features of superconductivity and superfluidity.

Critical Race Studies in Physical Education

Racism is a sickness that permeates every aspect of Black life. But if the events of the past few years have taught us anything, it is that America has a hard time talking about issues that create disparity and inequality for Black people. This inequality extends not just into education but also into physical education. Blacks are stereotyped as physically superior and intellectually deficient. They are marginalized in PE just as they are in other aspects of their lives. Through a series of case studies, Critical Race Studies in Physical Education offers deep insights into the issues that Black students face. The text, geared to undergraduate and graduate PETE students and in-service teachers, does the following: Provides culturally aware teaching strategies that affirm the worth of Black students Amplifies the crucial issues that negatively affect Black students Addresses the litany of intentional and covert racist practices directed toward Black youth, thus broadening the book’s value beyond the sharing of teaching strategies The end goal is to elevate the perspectives of Black youths and teachers and to normalize positive experiences for Black students in physical education. Generalized Boltzmann Physical Kinetics

The most important result obtained by Prof. B. Alexeev and reflected in the book is connected with new theory of transport processes in gases, plasma and liquids. It was shown by Prof. B. Alexeev that well-known Boltzmann equation, which is the basement of the classical kinetic theory, is wrong in the definite sense. Namely in the Boltzmann equation should be introduced the additional terms which generally speaking are of the same order of value as classical ones. It leads to dramatic changing in transport theory. The coincidence of experimental and theoretical data became much better. Particularly it leads to the strict theory of turbulence and possibility to calculate the turbulent flows from the first principles of physics.·Boltzmann equation (BE) is valid only for particles, which can be considered as material points, generalized Boltzmann equation (GBE) removes this restriction.·GBE contains additional terms in comparison with BE, which cannot be omitted·GBE leads to strict theory of turbulence·GBE gives all micro-scale turbulent fluctuations in tabulated closed analytical form for all flows ·GBE leads to generalization of electro-dynamic Maxwell equations·GBE gives new generalized hydrodynamic equations (GHE) more effective than classic Navier-Stokes equations·GBE can be applied for description of flows for intermediate diapason of Knudsen numbers·Asymptotical solutions of GBE remove contradictions in the theory of Landau damping in plasma
