In fact he has found himfelf nearing the abyfs of firife; and he fieps back in hafie. The prefent Rate of ecclefiafiical excitement will however, no doubt, in a few years, fubfide, and a calmer feafon once again fmile upon the Chrifiian commonwealth. Should be live to fee the happy days of tranquillity and good-will, the author would gladly refume the difficult, and, as he believes, important fubjeets, which at prefent he lays down.
