This project guided the participants through the initial steps of the strategic planning process. The participants in this project recognized the need for change. They learned about the demographic challenges the church faces in accomplishing the Great Commission. They began to develop a vision for the future of First Baptist Church of Firebaugh.

This project dissertation is written in the theological disciplines of church health and church growth. The purpose is to implement a church health process at the First Baptist Church of Plum Grove, Texas by training selected leaders in church renewal and church reconciliation, and develop an ongoing strategic health team. The method of training used was introduced through the Church Health Survey, a program developed by the Lawless Group. This project will use the combined Associational Church Health and Church Growth training tools which the candidate has written, borrowed and adapted from numerous sources.. The process includes the training of selected leaders who are assisting the pastor in restoring the unity of the body and enhancing the missions, evangelism and discipleship ministries of the church. The outcomes are for the church to resolve unity issues, become externally-focused, help a Hispanic congregation flourish in Splendora and have a Church Health Team to assist the pastor in revitalization.
