Poetic Revelations: Life's Lessons Learned

Book Description

This is the first book of poetry that was inspired by the word of God I have been writing for over 30 years and have over 200 pieces of work that God has given me as I listen to his forever present voice in my ear. He has truly blessed and continues to bless me with his word. So far about six other books will follow along the same inspired word. Praise God for his mercy, grace and above all patience with me. I was born in Saginaw Michigan and attended Saginaw public schools. At 18, I moved to Houston Texas where I lived for about 30 years, during which I worked for a major airline. God spoke to my heart and I moved to Roanoke Virginia for about 6 years then back to Saginaw where I work as a Certified Nursing Assistant. I married my wonderful husband Charles L. Ford Jr. a lifelong friend. I am happier than I have ever been to God be the glory.

Life Lessons from Revelation

Book Description

The end of the world… How do you react to that thought? Does it make you afraid or nervous? Excited? At peace? Or do you simply try not to think about it? The apostle John was privileged to preview the end of the world in a dream. While in exile on the island of Patmos, he experienced an amazing vision that gave him a glimpse of heaven. He saw the final battle between good and evil. He saw God's justice. He witnessed the assured victory for believers in Christ as all hell broke loose and all heaven came forth. He saw Jesus, born in a manger, now triumphant over Satan. John's description stretches our imagination, fuels our anticipation, and comforts us as we await the final curtain call. As you read, study, journal, and discuss the book of Revelation, watch for these key themes that Max will unpack throughout the book: God has a plan and a future for the world. God will be ultimately victorious over evil. There will be a final accounting for our faith and our lives. There is a better world in store. The Life Lessons with Max Lucado series brings the Bible to life in twelve lessons filled with intriguing questions, inspirational stories, and poignant reflections to take you deeper into God's Word. Each lesson includes: An opening reflection on the Bible book you're studying. Background information to deepen your understanding of the cultural and historical setting. An excerpt of the text (from the NIV and the NKJV). Exploration questions with plenty of room to write your own thoughts and notes. Inspirational thoughts from Max as well as a closing takeaway for further reflection. The Life Lessons series is ideal for use in both a small-group setting or for individual study.

Revelations – Poems on Life

Book Description

How to turn your mournful nights into delightful mornings? How to feel happiness in sickness? How to turn away from judgements and obnoxious looks? How to turn survival into a living? How to move an inch in trials? All this can be accomplished if we have faith and willingness to change. Revelations is a collection of poems to envision human life with lost hope, happiness and dreams. A sudden encounter with failure, sadness, sickness or lost love detaches a person from his inner-self. In times of uncertainty, when endless fears give birth to spiritual deviations and suspicion fills life, when lack of spirit and solitude results in insane behavior and there is nowhere to escape, we search for respite and eternal peace and tend to settle at a place where voices find a room to yell. This book will take you through a series of sacred emotions that we all feel at some point. Draw that inspiration from regretful circumstance of your life and go for what you have never done before. This book will help you admire the little things in life and discover life like never before.

Revelations

Book Description

Fred Chappell says of Ted Olson's second collection of poems: "These surprising revelations are really reminders." The eleven 'chapters' of seven poems per chapter provide readers with poetry that Maurice Manning describes as, "refreshing, almost old-fashioned in that it is truly verse...composed generously with rhythm and rhyme, and that antiquated quality makes the gravity of Revelations all the more subtle."

Lessons Learned

Book Description

This collection is written with both great vision and understanding. Both understanding of the here, the now and the present. No longer can these writers allow themselves to look back at the past. It is now that we both have come to realize the importance of patience. It is now that we have come to believe in eternity. And it is now that we have come to recognize failure. Failure transcends into the encompassing world of self-doubt. While success prepares it’s path from struggles and sorrow. It is with the humble mind that we have come to live
