The material presented here represents comprehensive revision and expansion Of series which have been published in the past, dealing with marketing charges and price spreads between farmers and consumers of food products, and includes a number of new series and comparisons. It is planned that all series carried in this publication be maintained and published currently as one of the service activities of the Bureau of Agricultural Economics. Annual supplements will be issued under the title used for this publication and monthly data will be carried in the mimeographed monthly, The Marketing and Transportation Situation.
