Proceedings of the Grand Lodge of the Province of Ontario, Canada

Book Description

Excerpt from Proceedings of the Grand Lodge of the Province of Ontario, Canada: Forty-Eight Annual Session Held at Toronto, August 13th and 14th, 1902 The city would open wide its doors and gates to the delegates, whose visit in the city, he hoped, would be pleasant and profitable to the highest interests of the Order, which he knew as one second to no fraternal organization in America. These welcome addresses being extempore a complete record was not obtained. The Grand Master, Bro. Chas. Clifford Lyman, replied to the Aldermen in a short, pithy speech, accepting for the Grand Lodge the cordial welcome and hearty greetings so kindly expressed. Bro. W. S. Johnston, Grand Marshal, then introduced Bro. R. C. Morrison, District Deputy Grand Master, who, on behalf of the Toronto District, No. 19, read the following address of cordial welcome to the Queen City : Grand Master, Officers and Members of the Grand Lodge 0/ Ontario : Brethren, - It is with the greatest pleasure that on behalf of Toronto District, No. 19, I.O.O.F., I extend to your Grand Body a hearty and cordial welcome to the Metropolitan City of Toronto.
