This series is entitled: Prominent Peaks of the Pilgrimage. Divided into two books, this twenty-lesson course traces the journey of the people of Israel, from out of the land of Egypt, into the land of Canaan. We will visit the people of Israel at the prominent peaks of their pilgrimage. Our main texts will come from the bible books of Exodus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, and Joshua. We shall see that the events that befell the children of Israel at the mountain sites are the very things that we have to expect on our pilgrimage. The lessons that the people of Israel had to learn are the very same lessons that our loving Lord would have us learn also. So, it behooves us to take a close look at the Lord's people and their pilgrimage, so that we can be better fit for our pilgrimage, for there are many pitfalls, dangers, and perils. Another major purpose of this course is to look at different aspects of the doctrine of salvation. Every keyword in this course brings out a new revelation concerning biblical salvation. Biblical salvation covers more than just the regeneration of the human spirit. Many struggles in the lives of Christians can be traced to unfamiliarity with the doctrine of salvation. If we do not see all that the Lord has done in salvation, then we will have unnecessary struggles. The doctrine of salvation permeates this entire course. We will turn salvation over and look at the subject in all its fullness. God is only interested in complete salvation. God is interested in salvation that delivers the sinful man: spirit, soul, and body; past, present, and future; penalty, power, and presence. That is what God's business is: complete salvation.
