This collection contains records from the decimal files of the Department of State concerning political relations between the U.S. and Cuba from 1910-1929. Since 1910 the decimal file has been the State Department system for organizing the central files of the Department as clearly and comprehensively as possible. This early and intense effort at systematic collecting primarily contains instructions to and despatches from diplomatic and consular officials and a variety of materials concerning boundary commissions set up following Cuban independence.
